My son is doing a report on Gordie Howe.Do any of you have unusual-interesting facts or photos he can see/use?

My son has to do a project on a person important to Michigan.He just started playing hockey himself so when given free choice on who to report on he chose Gordie. I want him to really understand Gordie's greatness (he gets to "check" next season & cant wait) Anything unusual or not "common Knowledge" would be a great help & really be appreciated.If you leave the info he will credit you as the research source.Hopefully this is interesting enough to make it to the state competition.
