What's wrong with me?

Me and my bf broke up last night. We have had a rocky relationship but for the the most part it was good. I do alot for him financially and I'm there for him whenever he needs me. He is a good bf for the most part. He extremely flirtatious but he ures me its nothing. He also has alot of "friends" that are girls abd they call all the time but he says they just like him he don't like them. Now people tell me I'm dumd and should move on but I'm willing to work with him. Then he breaks up with me and says we should just be friends. It hurts so much. When you spend so much time with a person and dedicate so much to making them happy you get lost in that. Now i'm sitting around and I don't know what to do because my life has been about him for the past year. What am i doing wrong I can't seem to make this relationship work. I love him so much and want to be with him what do I do
