Conservatives: Why do you jump to conclusions that anyone who wants righteousness is a Liberal and against you?

Just because I want a level playing field for the American People doesn't mean I want lazy people to get off easy or for the country to be turned into a Socialist one or a welfare state. Why do you insist on demonizing your fellow-Americans and label everyone who is more progressive than you as being on the far left? Is that any way for mature and respectable adults to behave?
