Do you know how to remove strong adhesive?

i got this guitar covered with velvet. it looks gay, so i wanna remove it. but the adhesive used to stick the velvet is so strong and i don't know how to remove it. the paint underneath is good, so i don't wanna spoil it. can anyone help me?
